Last Friday we picked up our new puppy Louie. The kids had been counting down the days until we could pick him up and we all fell in love with him instantly.His first night in the house we left him in the kitchen, boy did he cry. We spent most of the night comforting him but around 5am he started to be sick.After this he wouldn’t eat no matter what I tried. I spoke to my Vet on Saturday who said he was most likely pining for his mother & brother Marley (who lives at my mums) - so I got my Mum & Dad to bring him round and he really perked up, ate a tiny amount of food, and had a play for 30 minutes.When Marley went home again he started to look really flat. Sickness came back, I couldn’t get him to eat, I nursed him trough the night and in the morning off we went to the vets. They kept him in but told me they didn’t think he would make it through the night. Which he didn’t.We are all devastated, I didn’t for the life of me think I would get so attached to something in 3 days. Thankfully Marley seems to be ok which is ruling out a virus, the vet thinks that he in all probability had a kidney defect.So the point to this post is that if anybody is searching for some info (like i was at 4am the other morning) then hopefully they may happen across this and get him to the Vets sooner, don’t think that they are pining go and get your pet checked out at the Vets as soon as you can.I wish I had when he was first sick.God bless Louie, we all love you so much.John, Angela, Charlie, Kieron & Lola.xxxxxx
