Still waiting for my Maximuscle supplements to arrive but I have been reading an amazing booklet that I downloaded for free from the Maximuscle.com website.
I have been studying it closely and have started over the last couple of days to emplement new foods into my diet. For breakfast I have been eating porridge oats (looking forward to poached egg on toast tomorrow) a snack in the morning (banana, apple) and a late lunch at about 2pm (tuna or chicken sandwich). As today was gym day I also had sliced chicken and a couple of dry rivitas 60 minutes before my workout and for dinner tonight I have just eaten a couple of fresh tuna steaks, carrot, broccoli and cauliflower. I’ve got to say the past couple of days I have had even more energy to burn and feel better still.
Tonight I have upped my weights and boy does it hurt my leg’s felt like lumps of iron when I came out. I’m now doing 3 sets of 12/15 reps with several machines (also keeping to 20 minutes on the treadmill, I actually ran 3km tonight which I was really chuffed with) and I intend to stick with this for the next 7 gym sessions. I’m also mixing up my routine trying to do different excercises on each gym day (every other day). Last night I did a series of crunches which used new muscle groups but I dont want to over do it so will skip these tonight and tomorrow continuing on Thursday. Hopefully my supplements should have arrived by then.
My weight this evening was back down to 13 stone 7 and half pound which is a half pound loss. What is surprising though is that although the rate of my weight loss has dropped my jeans are still getting looser and I’m on the last hole in my belt (having dropped 4 holes since January). This is probably down to sticking to my healthier diet whilst building muscle. There is an interesting section in the booklet I’ve been reading which states if you just simply diet without excercise your body would rather burn muscle tisue for energy before it’ll burn fat. Imagine that, I don’t see the point no wonder it makes you feel pissed off and ill. Slimming World my arse!
